@ProfChakma I'm sure then you must be aware that Hindus see this monument as a symbol of slavery and the government proposes renaming it as 'Bharat Dwar'. Is it really appropriate for an Australian VC touring India on official business to be celebrating colonialism as the affectionate Aunt?

@winter_tim As someone with a keen interest in the colonial period, and with direct lived experience of over six decades, this reminds me of a Bengali saying, “মায়ের চেয়ে মাসির দরদ বেশি”, which roughly translates to “Aunt is more affectionate than mother”!
