I'm not Jewish... but I still toast l'chaim and have Jewish friends here and in Israel. Not Mormon... still enjoy the integrity and general decency of every Mormon I've known Not Sikh... still like the people and their respect/backbone. This could be a long list... because I'm an American who is damn proud to call each of these people my countrymen, as well as many more. This is the strength of our melting pot. Awesome people who we get to share culture with. Just felt the need to put this out there, for all of my friends in this insult filled victim-olympics "X," and the greater culture who may forget how many of us are proud to be your fellow Americans. My 2 issues, and they are foundational to the story: Original BSG was man vs Enemy. That it is foolish to ever trust an enemy blindly, no matter how much you want peace. The BSG 2.0 was man vs his own hubris and cruelty to the weak. The humans getting what they deserve, and showing their horrible personalities that make you understand they deserved it. (Sound familiar?) The entire idea that they created them, have tech for FTL, but can't identify a synthetic? Seriously? Silly reality TV trash writing.

@TheReactionGif @workhostage IMHO the first two seasons of BSG 2.0 were some of the best mil SF ever on television. Things kinda went off the rails once everyone started getting outed as a Secret Cylon.

Five TV shows that explain me: 1) Star Trek: TNG 2) Highlander: The Series 3) Battlestar Galactica (2000s) 4) Firefly 5) Star Trek DS9 Runner up: Fringe I have other shows I really like, but I have no problem rewatching any of these 5.

What do you trust more than the federal government?

I'm not so high on the target list, but I try to be just as discreet. My employer is #1 in our space by a good margin, and some of our clients are very security conscious, for good reasons. I'm careful about my NDAs. Interesting still, I'm always looking for better ways to solve problems. I find that meeting an engineer from a wildly different background is a good way to find solutions. Intellectual cross-pollination. I will shamelessly steal good ideas, as long as I'm citing the source, and not poaching actual protected IP. It's a good day when you can show a small manufacturer their product works to solve a problem they didn't know existed. (I'm a big softy. But the look in their eyes when you say "how many of these can we get?" and they never imagined that application, always makes me smile.) Cheers.

Since it's a dominant player (maybe #1?) in our space, any hints would identify the corp and its home. And I've been doxxed before and don't wish to repeat the experience.
