Celebrating sustainability! ☀️ Yesterday, DCNR unveiled the 30th solar array on Pennsylvania's public lands! The 342-kW array, which provides shade for cars in the Quaker Race Day Use area at Gifford Pinchot State Park, will save taxpayers more than $45,000 annually on electricity and reduce the DCNR's carbon footprint by over 163 metric tons per year—equivalent to removing 38 passenger cars from the road. When PJM’s next auction was set to result in historic price hikes, I filed a lawsuit to stop this price hike on consumers and defend Pennsylvanians. PJM is the company that manages getting electricity from power plants to your home. You might not have heard of them, but they play a big role in keeping the lights on. That's why I took action — and today, I’m proud to announce that this settlement will save Pennsylvania consumers $21 billion over the next two years.
