The explosion near the Border Security Force headquarters in Jalandhar is deeply alarming. A blast in a delivery scooter in a crowded area exposes a serious collapse of law and order. Punjab is a sensitive border state—such incidents raise grave national security concerns. Yet, while the @AAPPunjab government is busy parading its MLAs before the President, the @BJP4India led Centre is equally distracted and failing in its responsibility to ensure security. People deserves safety, not political theatre.

It is unfortunate and regrettable that government brought a delimitation bill subterfuged as ostensibly a women’s empowerment initiative. What was defeated in the Lok Sabha was a gerrymandering exercise to redraw the electoral map of India and not the Women’s reservation bill unanimously passed by all parties on September 20th 2023 in the Lok Sabha and not even operationalised by a government that now claims to be pro -women for 30 odd months till the night of 16th April 2026.
