For the second time in a decade, a FIDE President is threatened with sanctions. In February, the European Union declared its intention to sanction Arkady Dvorkovich. We have been here before. In 2015, sanctions were imposed on Kirsan Ilyumzhinov by the US Treasury. As a result, FIDE lost access to bank accounts, lost its credibility and our standing with the IOC was damaged. Fortunately, the proposed European Union sanctions, which would include an EU visa-ban and asset-freeze, have not yet been imposed on our President. If sanctions are imposed, the President should not stand for a third term at the General Assembly, to be held during the 47th Chess Olympiad in September. In this circumstance, should the President stand for re-election, I will stand against him and a broad-based electoral coalition should be formed with the intention of taking FIDE in a different direction. This coalition can be established in the coming months, before the electoral deadline towards the end of July. My team and I are assembling a ticket, including candidates for the FIDE Council. We are preparing a campaign program which will emphasise our objective of transforming FIDE into a modern, self-sufficient and independent non-governmental organisation. A necessary condition for the success of our campaign is of course the support of the international chess community. Throughout my 50 years in chess, I have been involved in: competition as a professional player, tournament organisation at all levels, journalism, commercial sponsorship, chess in schools, social projects, as well as chess administration in the European Chess Union and English Chess Federation. This is one of the most disgusting and vile things I have ever read, and that's saying a lot as a woman growing up in chess. "Where were all of you when Danya was alive and unwell?". You are the CEO of the governing body of chess and in your first real comments since the passing of one of our greatest talents, coaches, and ambassadors you decide to blame the public when you have absolutely no idea who Danya had been in contact with? Where the f*ck were you? Certainly not protecting your players from harassment because I'm sure that might have interfered with your protection of FIDE President Dvorkovich, close friends with Kramnik. You both accuse his friends knowing NOTHING about the support he received and remove any responsibility from yourself at the same time. Truly pathetic. We aren't oversimplifying anything. We know the damage Kramnik did to Danya because he told us in some of his final painful words. Trivializing the world's call for justice against Kramnik's malicious campaign of harassment isn't "virtue signaling", but I'm not at all surprised this would be your take given your morals have been bought out for many years now. But you are right about one thing. We absolutely didn't do enough while Danya was with us, we were not vocal enough about the failures of FIDE to uphold it's own bylaws, and that's what makes me the most sick. It's a mistake I won't make again. You are clearly unfit to lead FIDE. You are a disgrace to Chess and everything it should stand for. Resign immediately.

FIDE President Dvorkovich is on great terms with Kramnik. Earlier this year, they hung out together in Davos, promoting Russian 🇷🇺 interests. It is saddening having a FIDE unwilling to stand up to Karjakin and Kramnik. The wast majority of the chess world wants that.

I honestly cant tell if @FIDE_chess is messing up it's Candidates cycle in order to distract people from noticing they ruined the integrity of the FIDE elections, or if they mess up the FIDE elections, to stop people noticing they ruined the integrity of the Candidates cycle.
