Kingdom If you can get past S1's animation, the animations get less jarring in S2 and S3 forward have great animations and are all absolutely insanely good, probably all 9+/10 imo. S1 and 2 still have good characters and an interesting premise, so I personally still give them about 7~7.5/10, but they had gone with a weird 2.5D'ish vibe at first and it felt really off. Barely anyone knows of it in the West, but it's a great show with some of the best characters. The lore is quite good, it has great plot twists, solid fight scenes, and nothing in 5.5 seasons has felt out of place. (S6 part 2 supposedly in the works)

Finally caught up with One Piece. Egghead was insane. Probably my favorite arc so far. Crazy how this show just keeps getting better. That said, this feels like a good time to drop the anime. The pace really kills it for me. If any hype animation moment happens, let me know!

Luffy literally can't hurt the 3 people in front of him at this point. In fact, he'd pretty much die if the one in the middle just touched him. Almost does. He'd probably be closer to the equivalent that Krillin was going up against Frieza lmao Then add to that more than 10 other enemies that are objectively stronger than him during that battle. I don't think you understand just how absurdly outmatched he was there. It's basically a war and even the foot soldiers surprise him because they're stronger than what he's used to. He's lvl15 with basic gear going into a mid-late game dungeon. Shortly after that, there's a 2y timeskip where he and his crew train and become way stronger and he'd still get his ass whooped by a lot of them. And I don't mean "but he'd do better"; he'd still get 1-shot by most of the stronger officers.

What I personally think makes the most sense, especially considering they dedicated a full episode to Laboon and Crocus, went in-depth for Chopper, etc. They haven't been skipping much storytelling. 3 - Alabasta <- This is the reasoning I have for some of the others 4 - Jaya + Skypiea <- Nice and compact; easiest prediction imo 5 - Long Ring Long Land + Water 7 - I used to think they'd skip LRLL or at least a chunk of it, but they don't seem to divert enough to skip one of the main reasons why they decide they need a shipwright/new crew member. 6 - Enies Lobby + Wind-down <- One of the most iconic arcs in OP; if Alabasta is getting a dedicated season, I struggle to think Enies Lobby wouldn't; they're similar lengths in the manga/anime. 7 - Thriller Bark + Sabaody <- Season ending on them getting dispersed would be pretty good timing as almost everything else after barely needs anyone but Luffy full-time. Also well-done cliffhangers are good for ratings normally. Thriller Bark is also on the shorter side. Only argument I could see for this would be that Moria/Oars should absolutely be a season finale if Wapol was lmao 8 - Amazon Lily + Impel Down <- Mostly a setup season (would still be good because Boa and breakout crew would have people giddy, but clearly building up to a climax) 9 - Debatably the most beloved/iconic arc of One Piece; Marineford + Wind-down/Modified ending <- This is where I think they will change the story. I don't know how accurate it was, but I heard Oda had his endpoint in mind, and supposedly they have plans for up to 12 seasons. Season 9 being an action-packed clash with a rollercoaster of emotion in every episode would be amazing. IF it didn't get modified, it'd be quite easy that after Luffy's photo is in the newspaper telling his crew when to regroup, the focus changes for the remaining episodes of the season to show the viewers where all the other crew members landed and how their training is progressing. The only one I still see them skipping is LRLL as falling down from Skypiea could be reason enough to seek a shipwright, but I think if they do that, then the finales feel weird? I mean Water 7 is almost as long as Enies Lobby which is almost as long as Alabasta (longer if you include the wind-down), so if they're taking an entire season for Alabasta; a good but less iconic arc; it'd make no sense to squeeze Water 7 and Enies Lobby together. But a full season for just Water 7 would feel stretched-out I think. Thriller Bark is definitely shorter than Alabasta and even Water 7 (going by manga volume counts btw) so a full season for just that feels even more wrong. Impel Down is shorter, but together with Amazon Lily, I could see them easily stretching it out enough to make it feel right. Especially if they include snippets of where everybody landed at the end of the previous season.

Well perhaps, which would definitely help him, but we're talking about altering DNA in order to eradicate a very persistent disease. No matter who had to do the work, they'd need time on top of their knowledge. That's why I keep going back to Vegapunk because being able to work 5-6 times faster (at least that much) than anybody else while his knowledge on the topic expands exponentially with each discovery that they all make alongside one another is a game-changer. If anything, I genuinely think it's almost unfair to include Vegapunk here, because as soon as it comes down to trial & error and/or research, there's practically nobody better-suited than him. And since he's got loads of experience successfully altering DNA already, it's already in his wheelhouse on top of that. I mean usually, you'd need to monitor patients closely. Vegapunk can do that while still doing research and trying other things here and there. Those robot'ish versions of himself are busted tbh. Because even if you were 6x smarter than him, he'd still win more than likely because of the work speed alone. But people forget that before Egghead, Vegapunk, without his fruit, basically built up Baldimore, which was more or less a prototype of Egghead; I'd guesstimate probably 50-75 years into the future while Egghead is 500 years ahead of the world. He's not just a super genius at those things; IF he found out he'd need a specific machine that doesn't exist yet, he would just eventually build it as long as it's possible. And he'd do it faster than all the others because again; several helpers using the same brain/knowledge.

@ArkdaimVT @AnimexTwts In bleach there are these "fake bodies" and "fake souls" that Mayuri's division has created, ethics aside that would count as infinite Bodies as well to test stuff. Also i feel like out of the three mentioned, Mayuri is by far the one versed in how bodies work.

Against Mayuri, it's not that he's smarter, exactly; his satellites(robots) sharing his brain and multiplying his work speed is what would help him. He was a renowned genius before he ate his devil fruit. The devil fruit is basically just infinite memory. So even if Mayuri was 3-4 times smarter than him, he'd still fall behind speed-wise, and where Vegapunk already messes with genetics and alters DNA and creates beings that he could test on without harming anyone; he's just by default the perfect candidate for this imo. Orochimaru COULD find a cure quickly, but if he did, it'd be after killing off countless innocents through experiments and also; he has the same weakness as everyone going against Vegapunk; his brain can't be used at the same time by multiple versions of himself. He's the only version of himself that can do the thinking, even if he clones himself.

@ArkdaimVT @AnimexTwts No way you are serious right? Mayuri replaced his entire nervous system mid battle, changed his organs a few minutes before fighting someone whose power was to crush organs from afar. Orochimaru outright discovered immortality. Vegapunk used his fruit power to do what he does

Spoilers here. He used the Martyrdom perk that tricked literally everyone from the WG, successfully announcing a suppressed truth to the entire world. He found out about a traitor and since they shared a brain, he tricked said traitor by wiping his own memory perfectly so the traitor wasn't aware that he had prior knowledge of their involvement. He created the Seraphim, and they're more or less perfectly engineered murder clones with devil fruit powers he also created artificially. He essentially created infinite energy for the entire world, and only fell short because of the WG. But you're right, he's only good at memorization. ๐Ÿ™‚

Perhaps, but is Dr Genus' knowledge centered on humans or human-adjacent creatures? I genuinely don't know. Because the mechanically smarter is probably true; I mean Vegapunk is something like 500 years into the future compared to the rest of the world; but if you take a look at the Seraphim, is Dr Genus really biologically smarter? Vegapunk basically cloned child versions of pre-existing people in the world of One Piece then altered their DNA to make them absurdly powerful. And they don't have drawbacks or anything; they function like regular people, but way stronger. And he also created artificial fruits that grant powers that are normally extremely rare and if I remember, he essentially pumps some within the Seraphim. He's an expert at altering DNA, which is what would be required to find the cure, and he can even create fake beings to test it on while also having helpers with the exact same knowledge as him. Nobody is harmed, the process flows well, and the workload is spread-out with basically no downtime whatsoever.

No, he didn't. He expertly reproduced pre-existing tools and items he had knowledge of. Vegapunk would not only work SIGNIFICANTLY faster than Senku because of his robots sharing the same brain as him, making him learn new information several times faster than Senku, but he's also already created -and- modified creatures' DNA perfectly without them rejecting anything. Add to that that he created artificial "Devil Fruits" (they grant powers and they're usually absurdly rare) The guy is literally a well-meaning supergenius with pre-existing knowledge of DNA-alteration and you don't think he'd be faster than a genius teenager/young adult at finding the cure to cancer, a literal genetic disease? I like Senku, but he's not on that level.
