I've read about this Gen Z stare and up til now, I'd never encountered it. That was until today. I walked into a local take out shop. 2 cash registers, 2 people ready to take your order. The first girl was busy with customers, so I look at the girl at the 2nd cash. She just stares at me. Her face never moved, she didn't blink, she just stared at me like I was invisible. It was like she didn't know how to acknowledge or give basic social cues. I'm looking at her thinking, usually people behind the counter say hello first as a cue to advance to their wicket. She just stared at me! So I ask: Hi, do you want to take my order? Her: Sure. That's all she initially said. Honestly it was the oddest thing I've ever encountered, it was like she was on auto pilot. Once I started speaking to her, it was like her batteries kicked in and then she smiled became friendly. Has anyone else ever encountered that stare?

look at it this way, Nigeria has six geopolitical zones, North(East, west, central) South (East, west, south) In the event of a split, the entire north would become one, South would split into 3 countries the uncomfortable truth about a Nigerian split is that it wouldn't produce 4 equal nations. It would produce two or three viable states and one or two that would struggle for survival from day one. the South-south has oil that currently flow from Niger delta to Abuja, if we split, it becomes theirs alone and many people agree that Niger delta could become Kuwait in few years south East has always been very resourceful that even though it’s technically landlocked, they will surely find a way to access the ocean and engage in international trade. But it would still struggle a bit because they would not have comparative advantage over china in manufacturing and they would need relationship with other countries to sell imported products. there is a claim that south west already functions almost independently because of lagos, but it would require that they take over the gap that the Igbo fills in lagos for that to be valid after split. however, with access to ocean, the country would easily get on its feet. where it gets complicated is the North. They are totally landlocked with little or no mineral resources. It would be an economy built almost entirely on subsistence farming and livestock. by this logic, we will have a 2 struggling nations- North and south east and rich South south and neither rich nor poor South west and struggling nations don't stay peaceful, they pressure their wealthier neighbours and they destabilise an entire region. like what Chad, Niger and Cameroon are currently doing to us. Some could say this is why the topic of separation is almost like a blasphemy to the northern elites and a self sabotage to the south easterners.

It tells the story of a peasant named Pahom, who believes that if he only had enough land, he wouldn’t fear anything—not even the devil. Here's how it goes: Pahom lives a simple life but envies landowners. When he finally gets the chance to buy some land, he feels satisfied… briefly. Soon, he wants more. And when he gets more, he still isn’t content. The more land he acquires, the more greedy and restless he becomes. One day, he hears of a distant group of people- the Bashkirs— who are willing to sell land at a very cheap rate. This is where it gets interesting: Their deal is simple: For a fixed price, you can have as much land as you can walk around in a single day. But there’s a catch — you must return to your starting point before sunset, or you lose everything. Excited, Pahom sets out early in the morning. As he walks, he keeps pushing further, thinking, “Just a little more land… just a bit more.” He ignores the heat, exhaustion, and time. By afternoon, he realizes he’s gone too far and must rush back before sunset. Panicked, he starts running. His body is failing, his breath is heavy, but greed drives him forward. Just as the sun is setting, he reaches the starting point and collapses. Dead. In the end, his servant buries him in a grave. Six feet long. The lesson: All the land he chased… All he truly needed… was enough to be buried in. I hope that answers the question of how much money is really enough money
