🇩🇪 German AfD leader Tino Chrupalla is calling for all US troops to be kicked out of Germany, pushing to end decades of American military presence and break from NATO-aligned policy. Around 40,000 US troops are still stationed in Germany. Chrupalla says Berlin must stop being dragged into foreign conflicts and pursue a fully independent path by 2029. Follow: @europa

@JOttoPohl1 But your target audience here speaks either German or Russian. The Volga Germans that would be interested in it don’t speak English. But tbh a lot of them probably don’t read to much.

I just got my again disappointing royalty statement from Germany for The Years of Great Silence. It is not disappointing because of the small amount of money. Rather it is disappointing due to the very small number of sales. To sum for the year 2025 it sold a total of 134 copies for $137.75 in royalties. I could not even sell $150 worth of copies in a year.

@G_M_Zz @ScheilDr Is this your own private struggle session? It was ex post facto, and many of the crimes discussed were also committed by the persecutors, sworn statements of Soviet witnesses about Katyn, German generals being convicted for things the Allie’s also did.

'Presented forged documents.' 👏👏😂 Name one, Dr Scheil. Specifically. With an archival reference. You've just made a public accusation of forgery against four Allied prosecutorial teams. That's a specific, falsifiable claim. So let's test it. Name the forged document. Identify the forgery. Cite the scholarship that demonstrates it. You're a published "historian", this should be straightforward. And while you're at it: 'They condemned crimes that their own states had committed.' You've just acknowledged that the crimes happened. You said 'crimes' not 'alleged crimes,' not 'so-called crimes.' Crimes. Your objection is that the Allies also committed crimes, not that Germany didn't. So we agree the crimes occurred. The Einsatzgruppen shootings occurred. The gas chambers occurred. The systematic extermination of European Jews occurred. Your argument is that the wrong court tried them. Fine. Which court should have tried them? A German court, in 1945, in a country whose entire judicial system had been an instrument of the regime that committed the crimes? An international court that didn't yet exist? Or no court at all, in which case your position is that industrialised genocide should go unpunished because the available judges were imperfect? You've spent this thread attacking the court. You haven't spent a single post acknowledging the victims. Not one. Nearly six million Polish citizens, half of them Jewish. Over three million Soviet prisoners of war. Up to half a million Roma. 100,000 members of the Polish intelligentsia murdered in the Intelligenzaktion alone from a kill list compiled before the war began. Not a word from you about any of them. So tell me, Dr Scheil, which document was forged? And do you accept that the crimes the court tried were real? Two simple questions. I'll wait.

The Nuremberg prosecution knew perfectly well that its case was false. US prosecutor Jackson himself admitted this in London in the summer of 1945: "The Germans will certainly accuse all three of our European Allies of adopting policies which forced them to war. The reason I say that is that captured documents of the Foreign Office that I have examined all come down to the claim, 'We have no way out; we must fight; we are encircled; we are being strangled to death.' Now, if the question comes up, what is a judge to do about it? I would say, before one is jugded guilty of being an agressor, we must not only let him deny it, but say we will hear his case. I am quite sure a British or American judge would say to a defendant, 'You may prove your claim'."
Der Beisser@DBeisser36555

@G_M_Zz @Bendix53930 @ScheilDr The prosecution based its case almost exclusively on confiscated German documents (approximately 75% of the evidence). The Allies controlled the archives and selectively chose incriminating files.

@__nikskip__ @europa Germany would look like neolithic society if it weren't for Russia's cheap gas. I do hope Germany keeps this anti-Russian stance because it's the fastest way to it becoming economically ruined - which it most definitely deserves.

Reminder:

@G_M_Zz @ScheilDr Why would they do that? They knew the demands, They knew the deadlines and the implications behind it. And they knew that not sending someone with negotiating powers wouldn’t be accepted. This statement by lipski is a lie he sent his answer to Poland after the talks.

@G_M_Zz @ScheilDr So the poles are not pleased with the appeasers that want negotiations and communicate this internally, they don’t sent someone with negotiating powers, knowing that it was demanded, after they announced their will to negotiate to their Allie’s, and they lie about it afterwards.

No, we haven't gone full circle. Scheil's thesis is that Poland saw the war as an 'opportunity' and bears responsibility for its outbreak. Your own documents show the opposite: Poland said yes to negotiations. Poland asked for hours to reply formally. Poland instructed Lipski to refer demands back to Warsaw standard diplomatic procedure. Poland was willing to talk. Germany didn't wait. Germany broadcast 'rejection' before Poland's reply arrived. Germany invaded at dawn. 'Poland knew about the proposals' is not the same as 'Poland started the war.' Knowing about demands and refusing to capitulate to them on a twelve-hour deadline is not aggression. It's sovereignty. Scheil's claim: Poland wanted this war. Your documents: Poland was preparing a formal reply when Germany invaded. Those are opposite things. You've spent three hours proving my case with primary sources. I appreciate the effort.
