If Tennessee were to beat Iowa State, the Oregon/Iowa/Tennessee love triangle will be complete.

@uncensor3dhawks @B1GDuckEnergyy There are plenty of teams I will never root for - ISU isn't one of them. I have no problem with ISU getting to the elite eight. But I'll never root for any SEC team. Perennially overrated conference full of teams that thrived off paying players before it was legal.

I can sense the stirring from Hawkeye fans ahead of tonight’s Iowa State game. They are like a primed thoroughbred waiting for the gate to open. If the Cyclones lose you are going to see a barrage of Hawkeye bombs that will make war generals blush.

False. He’s had a couple good games down the stretch, and I’m very happy for him. But he’s also a big reason why we’re a 9 seed, having to play Florida now. Teams didn’t have to guard him for 75%+ of the season, we were playing 4 on 5 on the offensive end. Never should have gotten so many minutes.

Leo is the best movie star with the best filmography, and it’s not that close. Cruise, Hanks, and Bale round out Mt. Rushmore. Damon, Pitt, McConaughey fighting for that last top 5 spot.

Planting berry bushes is arguably one of the highest gardening ROIs and easiest to maintain. I currently have 10+ blackberries, 10 blueberry bushes, and 5 raspberries in my backyard and I still want to expand it further. Last year I picked >10lbs of blackberries alone. Didn’t weigh the blueberries and raspberries but probably 15lbs total (all organic). And the yields will increase every year. On top of all of that, all you basically have to do is water if it gets super hot and fertilize once a month. And the biggest benefit is it’s a great activity to do with your kids to get them outside and away from screens. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
Kirk Lubimov@KirkLubimov

My kids just ate $40 dollars worth of these berries...as a snack. It's so ridiculously expensive to put proper nutrition in them. No idea how people manage it, and if they don't, what the long term health consequences are.

@scottberglan @divinethree333 Misinterpretation of that passage. There are multiple resurrections in the OT and NT pre-Christ, including those Christ raised (Lazarus, Jairus’ daughter).

@divinethree333 Colossians 1:18 says that Christ is first born from the dead. If God raised Jonah from the dead in the belly of the whale without another person acting as the ”go between”, then Jonah would be the first born from among the dead and not Christ.

Unpopular opinion: Jonah didnt survive three days in the belly of the great fish— it wasnt a refuge; it was a tomb. Most people picture Jonah chilling in the belly of the great fish for three days perhaps humming a psalm or two. Thats not what the text describes. Read Jonahs own prayer from inside the fish: “I called out to the Lord, out of my distress… From the belly of Sheol I cried and you heard my voice… The waters closed in over me to the point of death; the flood surrounded me; seaweed was wrapped around my head; I went down to the roots of the mountains; the earth with its bars closed upon me forever… yet You brought up my life from the pit, O Lord my God.” (Jonah 2:2–6) He prays from Sheol—the Old Testament place of the dead. He says the waters took him “to the point of death.” Seaweed wrapped around his head and the earth barred him in forever. Thats not a guy whos just uncomfortable. Thats a man describing his own death. So yes—Jonah died in the belly of the fish. The miracle wasnt that he survived for three days. The miracle was that God raised him from the dead when the fish vomited him onto dry land. And thats exactly the sign Jesus pointed to: “But He answered and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation craves a sign; and so no sign will be given to it except the SIGN OF JONAH the prophet; For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” (Matthew 12:39-40) Jesus didn’t say “as Jonah lived in the fish…” He pointed to Jonahs death and resurrection as a sign of His own. Jonah died. God raised him. Jesus died. God raised Him. Thats the parallel—not a three day aquarium stay. The sign of Jonah isnt survival. It’s resurrection.🙏

I’m not some big Ray Dalio fan, but people who say he was too early are stupid. He probably published his book in part because he hoped the collapse would be avoidable and thought maybe the book would help. What was he supposed to do, wait to put the book out for another couple decades?
