Today was one of those truly amazing days that don't come alone to often. We took delivery of our @illumina #NovaSeqX plus. We look forward to bringing faster, better, cheaper sequencing to all our collaborators/clients from around the world, serving scientists in @AgriLife @TAMU @tamusystem, and supporting other critical research in 45 countries for scientist across the land. This amazon review for a phone size Faraday bag gave me a good chuckle.

@panomics @illumina Its not a matter of can’t so much as won’t because if something goes wrong and we get less then expected Illumina isn’t going to replace a flow cell that hits their spec but not our spec. Of course now spec meets reality now.

@BioMath @illumina I am a bit surprised you can't quote performance beyond Illumina's technical specifications. We conduct yield and quality pilots for investigators and empirically calculate cost for projects at large scale. Do you operate as under promise and over deliver?

I worked summers on my families farm from 10 thru 17, still the job I look back on most fondly. I wasn't paid, but raised chicken and pigs, which I sold for $ during the year, life was good. Taught me a lot.
