Happy birthday to Matt Olson, the modern day Ironman, whose active games played streak continues into 2026. He's also got one of my favorite statistical oddities: a season with just 2 doubles compared to 24 homers. He would go on to crack 40+ doubles 2x, leading the NL in 2025.

We really need to talk about how Matt Olson, who just led the NL with 41 doubles in 2025, once had a season where he hit just TWO doubles compared to 24 home runs. I thought my eyes deceived me, but it looks like this really happened. What on earth!

Saturday mail day. The second 1979 TCMA Japan Pro set(cautionary tale against multiple simultaneous auction bids), 1971 Dell photo stamp all star album. Just Mets and Reds to go. Finally some misc modern set finishers.

Ok. Time to bite the bullet. Need to buy a Ryan RC for my 1968 set. Will look at raw or graded, only require no creases. Corners/centering less important. Think 3.5-5ish. DM if shy

You'd be hard pressed to find a more beautiful 90s insert set. 1997 EX-2000 Hall or Nothing. Maybe Flair Hot Gloves, but it'd be close.

So, I do some impulsive things as far as cardboard is concerned, like putting multiple bids out on sets I'm interested in. Five bids and two wins later. Side note. The QC at TCMA in 1979 was AmAzInG!
