LLMs collate search (Google, Reddit, StackOverflow etc) in a way that users find agreeable but gives them lower-quality info, obscures/misquotes sources constantly, and kills web traffic. ChatGPT’s product is a formerly functional feedback loop snapped to die like a glow necklace

@PaperIdentity @soundsbycoop Private sector is contracted by the city a lot of times. Unless it's an off street lot then it depends, sometimes it can still be the city though. If they're charging tho it means you're in a desirable area. No one loves paying to park but cars are a nuisance not a human right.
