#FM23beta Mentality has been reworked and I mean its very different from previous editions of Football Manager, moving forward I hope SI call it what it is - Risk. On very defensive mentalities even AFs get behind the ball. There are such distinct differences now.

@claytsfm First day using it. Loved every minute of it. The future features you mentioned were at the top of my wish list!

Had a few issues with FantasyFM over the past day or so, should be stable again now. Appreciate everyone that's tested so far. Will be the case during the BETA period unfortunately. Working on implementing longer sessions or 'seasons' that allow the streamer to edit the squad and viewers to make transfers.

@nocontextfm1 Whether you are a tactical genius in translating real life tactics is irrelevant, it’s whether you can translate the games nuances to produce an elite tactic. A good player can take an average squad and do well, most need meta players to achieve that cos the bar becomes lower.

Most ‘elite’ tactics on Football Manager are mainly exploiting the match engine, they don’t show you’re a tactical genius. Thoughts? 👀

@nocontextfm1 Most people who say that don’t understand the nuances behind the roles and instructions in the GAME. All games are about finding out the best path to success and only those who understand fully can achieve that. The rest moan exploit - reflects poor understanding.

Nottingham Forest #FM26 Demigods? And this is without me having any power to make signings. Cross completion rates of 44% and at least 2 CCCs per game with a new record of 7 in one match alone. Possible supertactic exploiting a gaping match engine flaw?

@sortitoutsi The best way to handle press conferences is to never bother. Problem solved, even less steps.

Press conferences in FM26 are way simpler than people think. Don’t overcomplicate it: ✔️ Always attend them yourself ✔️ Spam the 2nd positive answer ✔️ Keep morale high without thinking too much No gestures. No tracking. Just consistency. 📖 sortitoutsi.net/content/76465/…

I wish the FM community would stop expecting modders to perform miracles with FM26. Let them do what they can now, instead of denouncing any changes they have made which does not meet with your expectations.

@SteinkelssonFM @MustermannFM @FM_Assist My playstyle is now circa 03/04 All staff hired by Chairman, transfers and contracts done by DOF, all training done by staff, all I do is be the modern day impotent coach like Amorim. Not ideal, I just focus on what’s left that’s interesting -tactics.

@BusttheNet @MustermannFM @FM_Assist It is clear there is a shift towards the 'instant result' / holiday player dynamic. Maybe us hardcore players just need to adjust to simply enjoy signing wonder kids and playing games on repeat.

@SteinkelssonFM @MustermannFM @FM_Assist Chalkboard won’t be coming back, that much they have been clear about. To get the current data hub producing the kind of information football nerds might want would require extensive engineering, design and development, that alone implies a long wait.

@BusttheNet @MustermannFM @FM_Assist The data hub hasn't been a priority - given simple errors like graph axis weren't addressed early on - which you'd like to think is an easy fix. The chalkboard was always where I spent most time away from the game, other than my own spreadsheets. I can't see that returning.

@MustermannFM @SteinkelssonFM @FM_Assist These issues were raised months ago, but I guess there were more important priorities.

@SteinkelssonFM @FM_Assist That's what I mean, though. It's difficult to validate how many chances that player had which ended up above the xG threshold. But FM has always been a battle for me. It's a platform that simulates football, then I try and work out how to uncover the things it doesn't show.

@jlaspey @SteinkelssonFM @FM_Assist FM24 wasn’t without its flaws either with data, cos we had 3 data presentation areas :chalkboard and data hub and views and even then there were times when the data did not match. You can’t say FM26 is a simulation of real football, the data in the game proves it.

@jlaspey @SteinkelssonFM @FM_Assist Inconsistent data has forced me to play the game in one way only. I join a club and then leave every decision to the staff including signing/resigning/transfers. There is no way anyone can call a tactic a replication with a straight face because there is no data to support it.

@jlaspey @SteinkelssonFM @FM_Assist So I play the game like CM03/04 but without making transfers I work with the team that’s been given to me. Attributeless or data driven saves are frankly a joke and if one does attempt them you are making a big assumption - that data is correct.
