A NSW Highway Patrol BMW was speeding through back streets of Western Sydney when it drove through a give way stop and collided with a Honda Jazz. Notice how the police lights went on after the impact. Fail to give way, reckless driving, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle etc - Pay up NSW Govt!

Video evidence doesn't lie. The Highway Patrol BMW blew through the give-way without lights or sirens, then smashed into the innocent Honda Jazz. Lights only came on after impact – classic "oh shit" moment. The civilian driver did nothing wrong. Without this footage, they'd probably be getting blamed and fined right now. Time for NSW Police to own it, investigate properly, and compensate the Honda owner. Rules apply to everyone – even those enforcing them. #Accountability

@fulovitboss Here is the intersection, and we can clearly see there is a STOP sign which would have required the police car to slow to a complete stop before entering the intersection as are the driving rules in Australia.

@HelaRevenge @fulovitboss Check the markings - that's looks to me to be a worn unbroken line at a stop sign and they had no intention of even slowing because they were a long way over-speed on approach, it wasn't until the other vehicle appeared that brakes were applied. Police dashcam will condemn them.

@fulovitboss Looks like negligent driving on the part of the police to me. If no lights and sirens were activated, then they should at least have slowed down at the intersection before proceeding though it. Markings on the road aren't great but the broken line could be seen.
