@TakunHiwatari (1/2) I don't see people claiming PS will fail without physical games. The point is that removing consumer choice is a worse experience for people who prefer to own, lend, preserve, or resell their games. Success doesn't automatically mean every decision was the right one.

Twitter isn't a real place, physical gamers are a vocal minority, and the PS6 is gonna be successful even without physical games

More reports why Sony is trying to end physical discs: - They want to cut out the middle man, to make more profit per sale (like remove walmart cuts etc) - Sony thinks the fanbase will not switch platforms, they can do what they please without losing fans - They are convinced by ignoring this issue, they fans will just accept the changes and convert to 100% digital with time. - Sony thinks they are "too big to have commination with fans". Talking to fans has no margin benefit, so they refuse to address fans and will keep doing so I have lost all trust and goodwill with PlayStation, no words what is happening right now. Horrible company

@Seramurai_ @OgaGaBooGa so that means the argument is more complicated than you present. A lot of indie games are digital-only because publishers don't produce physical editions. That doesn't mean players don't value physical ownership; it means the option often doesn't exist....thats the point.

@Seramurai_ Been thinking about it for years by buying physical whenever possible. Problem is consumers can't control corporate decisions or predict how quickly companies move away from physical media. You can prepare for a possibility but can't react to something before it actually happens

Can someone please tell me 1 time where Sony deleted a PAID digital game from gamers psn accounts. People keep talking about how COULD do this but I feel like theres zero precedent that they actually have done this. And the 1 time they did with concord, they refunded everyone 🤷🏾♂️
