The time this Southend fan ran across from the opposite end of the ground and started attacking local rival Colchester fans, back in 2016… Crazy 🤯

@petergabscar I think you totally missed my point - I’m against VAR too when it’s used for such fine margins (versus the clear and obvious errors it was intended for)

@CarlReader IF VAR is that good how come it wasn't used in the previous match,my problem with all football now days is the bigger the club the more chance of getting decisions, if VAR is going to be used it shld be used more regularly with at least 4/5 supposed experts viewing it,or scrap it

Operating under the philosophy of "minimal interference, maximum benefit", the VAR system seeks to provide a way for "clear and obvious errors" and "serious missed incidents" to be corrected. 🙄

I've seen pictures of the fighting at Aintree. Amazingly they all appear to be wearing socks so maybe a corner has been turned. Next step is for them to get strides that fit properly.

Just adding a voice of reason to the Southend stuff. Why would a financier give their consent to a deal without the surety of planning / council approval? I’m quietly confident that when one comes, the other will follow.
