@299Peter@BuckledFrame218@CoysJoji Said it as joke in jest but who is this fella. Gets people’s hopes up on Hinshelwood and just for good measure throws in a curve ball by what appears to be Mark Hughes on the shortlist🤦♂️
Club are keeping cards close to their chest. Someone else has entered the frame for the job in the last 24hours. No idea on names… just know it’s someone who’s at another NL club who might be losing their job.
@jmpschooley@CJPhillips1982 Proper business leaders do not work like that. Their only concern is the well being of the club. Proper business is not very nice. This lot have been totally brutal in their actions over last few months. Should have been done and dusted by now... advert for a job - this is 2026!
To the miserable person on the train to BTM this morning who shouted at my daughter for “talking in the quiet carriage” I hope you had a horrible day in Bristol. Thanks to the off duty @GWRHelp staff who stood up instantly and said “Quiet carriage, not silent carriage.” 1\
99% of the wine consumed in England is imported.
Yet there are now over 1,000 vineyards producing award-winning wine on home soil, with sales growing year on year.
If just 5% of the market shifted to local producers, that's around £750 million a year staying here.

@CJPhillips1982 Fantastic work as ever Chris, thanks for all your hard work and dedication…. however, think you might have a busy summer ahead of you too!!!
Sunday also signalled the end of another season covering my hometown club which is still a privilege. Attended every game, every press conference and wrote stories every day other than Christmas so gave it my all. Thanks you for all the interactions and for reading.
@299Peter Kev and Co have had us punching well above our weight for years, forced to shop in the bargain basement to build a squad, which makes their coaching credentials even more impressive
So the next #southendunited manager’s remit will be to plug the 27-point gap Blues finished behind National League champs York. Let’s hope the huge playing budget deficiency is also plugged to make that goal achievable… as it was better players, not new coaches that were needed
@shrimperjon@mondazeo88@SUFCRootsHall And a long season too, this will take two years to bed in? This is not an overnight fix….. I can see the fickle supporters moaning if we are not top 3 this Christmas
@mondazeo88@299Peter@SUFCRootsHall I think we need a complete reset mate. I’d keep maybe 4 or 5 but the rest need to move on and it won’t do them any harm for a fresh start. Some of these players only know Maherball so will they be able to adapt to a new style of play? I’m not sure. Going to be a long summer
Southend United can confirm that Kevin Maher and members of his coaching staff, Darren Currie and Mark Bentley, will depart the Club following a review at the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.
