@spotshole @KonbroA Souls tend to have a trail of light when leaving/entering orbs. This happens with Fenrir, and when Angrboda/Loki reanimate the serpent. Rewatching the video, Sindri's hammer literally atomizes the soul into powder/dust. Odin is GONE gone, or definitely not whole.

Also, you can argue it doesn't matter because the lack of Death, but you also forget Denji and Pochita died by the end of the manga, implying they could infact be killed had they be hit with something more powerfull, which we know Yuji can't do even if properly scalled.

An simpler explanation to this is to aply videogame logic to it, a lot of CSM characters are not tanks in the literal meaning of the word, but rather think of them as having low armor with an massive health bar, that's how CSM durability works most of the time.
