Great to be back at a baseball field. Wild one last night as @CoastalBaseball did all sorts of Coastal things. Scored 8 runs in final 3 innings, got drilled by pitches, walked, sacrificed and had Darrin Horn at the end to shut down Clemson. Cameron Flukey was throwing pre game!!!

The Data Behind the Double. In a 3-2, 2 out, game deciding moment, Trace Mazon delivered a 2 RBI double that ended up winning the game. Similar pitches in that location end in a whiff or foul ball on 82% of swings. Trace flattened out his vertical attack angle and bat angle (VBA) to get on plane, producing true spin at a 1:26 axis, with near 100% efficiency, and just 1024 RPM off the bat. This allows for true ball flight down the line, allowing the ball to stay true with carry, not slicing towards foul territory.
