What?! 65% of people prefer the search results from ChatGPT over Google's search results? This study is blowing my mind. To test whether people prefer website recommendations from Google or ChatGPT, @ClickPop23 created a tool where users could simultaneously search Google and ChatGPT, and then display the two sets of website recommendations in separate, randomized sets; A or B. The user could then vote for which set of websites better matched their search. Think of it like the Pepsi Challenge but between Google and ChatGPT. The test ran from 29 May 2023 to 19 July 2023. In total, 1,674 searches were carried out, with 726 votes being placed. I mean, my spidey senses are tingling. 🔸 Who were the testers? 🔸 What were the searches? 🔸 What about searches with local intent? What are your thoughts?
