We were very unfortunate yesterday were we saw a 11 year old child collapse on the pitch and was unconscious for 4 mins. The response by club members was outstanding and the defibrillator was deployed. Thankfully it was not needed but it very much hit home, when you hope it won’t happen, but it did. We are extremely pleased to report the young player is recovering well in hospital.
Huge thanks to Northwest Ambulance Service who were on site very fast and looked at the player impeccably. Next time breakfast is on us. Amazing guys 👏👏👏
Please make sure your club members do dummy runs, as you never know when it will happen.

The current state of the Royal Navy:
2 aircraft carriers — neither operational.
6 Type 45 destroyers (our most powerful warships) — one operational (in Cyprus).
7 Type 23 frigates (less powerful, much older) — three operational
5 Astute class nuke-powered subs — one operational (in Arabian Sea?).
Surely those responsible for this appalling state of unreadiness (a national embarrassment if ever there was one)— political, civilian and military — should be fired/charged.
Their incompetence has effectively left us without a navy.
Quite an achievement for an ancient island nation.
