The issue is that her entire journey in Part 2 is now irrelevant. She hasn't grown as a character. Her story was just completely erased and then rewritten. Asa's story was made to be meaningless.

People conflate Light and Lulu but they're two sides of the same coin. Light was a normal guy corrupted by power who used a noble goal to justify flexing his god complex.
Lulu is a guy with a genuine noble goal, with power that DOESN'T corrupt him. But in order to achieve his goal he has to do horrible things and has to Martyr himself and his morality.
That's why anytime Lulu does something fucked up either on accident or to someone he didn't mean to he cries and gets upset. He wants revenge on Britannia but it was never his main reason, he literally leaves the final battle of the black rebellion to go save Nunally.
