Dutch authorities now recommend a minimum cycle lane width of 230 cm (each direction) to allow for side-by-side riding and comfortable passing. Studies have shown the wider the lane, the lower the safety risk: each 10% increase reduces collisions by 13%. dutchcycling.nl/knowledge/blog…

1/ Corruption and cover up in L8?? Update!! Hatherley Street and Ducie Street July 2019 was when I first heard the name West Tree Estates (WTE). Many in the local community were horrified at their planning application for Ducie Street and campaigned against it.

It's been nearly 2 years since @harrydoyle96 and councillor Barrington went to check out Walthamstow. In that time @lpoolcouncil has completed less than 1 mile of bike lanes, not brought in parking restrictions in city centre! @CarlCashman should have a field day!

Great to have a cycle tour of Walthamstow today with @lpoolcouncil Chief Highways Officer & @siobridg looking at active travel infrastructure but also how they have incorporated this with the public realm, supporting local businesses. My first time cycling on the road!! 🚲

I don’t normally get involved in calling out headlines but it’s just getting bonkers. If this was directed at a gender, race or religion it would be rightly called out as the hate speech it is. Mums, dads, sons and daughters being labelled as killers. It’s just got to stop.
