The Nets reportedly had hoped that Mikal Bridges would have been good enough to lure Giannis Antetokounmpo to Brooklyn, per @nypost

Look how many shots it takes Jalen Brunson to get 28 points when he’s not getting 15 free throws. Absolutely terrible. But hey, he’s doing his thing in New York. Too bad they won’t make the finals!

A few things on this:
1. Joe Schoen is a bad GM. In 2024, when he decided to “rebuild” the Giants and let Saquon/Mckinney walk he should’ve traded Dex for a haul. Instead, Dexter had an all pro season on a 3 win team.
2. Trading Dexter Lawrence now probably doesn’t make sense. You’re trying to win, and he’s off his worst season of his career, I doubt you’ll get a haul.
3. Joe Schoen is a bad GM.

ESPN sources: Giants All-Pro defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence has requested a trade and he will not be participating in the team’s off-season workout program that opens Tuesday. Lawrence and the Giants have been through two off seasons attempting to negotiate a contract reflecting his value to the Giants over the last three years, but there has not been any progress, per sources.

KNICKS FANS, PLAYER TO WATCH: Isaiah Evans, 6’6”, Shooting Guard, Duke Unconscious from three, one of the highest volume shooters in the NCAA. Can attack closeouts well. Skinniness is an issue on defense, but still gets after it, resulting in surprising blocks and steals.
