@Raf_Epstein @awalbs I worked in the Joseph Epstein Centre for Emergency Medicine Research at Western Health from inauguration. Joe was always encouraging, friendly and extremely engaging. Thoughts are with your family Raf and Professor Anne-Maree Kelly (one of his many mentees).

My father died last night, 1 day short of his 81st birthday. Every time you hear a furious debate about a political issue, just pray there is someone like Joe Epstein inside the system, trying to work out how to make policy a reality. 1/3

@dcam31 Thanks @dcam31 patients are telling us there is something wrong well before other quantitative indicators/ metrics. When looking for signals- this is one to pay attention to. Pt experience/ feedback & staff experience/ feedback = lead indicators

Not meaning to quibble but surely patient complaints is/are a lagging or trailing indicator? Which begs the question of what a lead indicator might be in this instance ( posting on behalf of a friend)
