@logorn_gadum People hate on this and the Halo Wars 2 retcon but High Charity was the size of a moon and the most advanced Covenant ship. Did people really think a single frigate exploding or a backup core meltdown would Death Star it out of existence?? Same goes for the Ark btw.

@logorn_gadum The trailers with him makes me think 343 were too scared to make him a solo act & have his gameplay be entirely different from Chiefs. You would have Blue Team missions that play like standard Halo movement & Locke missions with the Halo 5 mobility that would be in multiplayer.

This is something I've been thinking on a long time. Thanks for reminding me. Locke as a character is failure. 343 were trying to make a 'rival' character for chief, like bungie did for Halo 2. The problem is there's nothing special about him. Arbiter is an alien on the enemy side, his narrative is completely different. In Halo 5, Locke is just a quiet cranky spartan who's supposed to find chief. What's special to him? Nothing. He's just another spartan four, the most generic of the spartans.

@logorn_gadum @TheRealQuenny Sprint without clamber is like a bread sandwich, like if there was one thing I hated about the Bungie trilogy it wasn't no sprint it was the fact Chief can't climb over a hurdle up to his waist you gotta walk around or cheese it

@logorn_gadum @Pittmaster_ Since Chief is always revered as a Christ like figure you could even argue Fernando is a stand-in for Job. The game focuses on him losing everything and Chief asking him to maintain his faith in them both, despite there being no reward for his effort other than Chief's gratitude.

The reaction this video has gotten is fascinating to me. Most don't even watch it and just scream about it being ANOTHER HALO DEAD video. Some people have such a weird reaction to the very reality that Halo as a franchise has fallen, and is a joke compared to what it once was.

Every Halo game made since Bungie left Microsoft has been better than anything Bungie has made since. Halo 4, Halo 5, Halo Wars 2, and Halo Infinite are all superior games to Destiny, Destiny 2, and now Marathon. Halo Infinite is the strongest campaign in the franchise.
