I think Jalen Duren is exponentially better at basketball in almost every way this season than last. That's the real crux of it for me. It's not like he got a bigger role/more usage/new team/second year bump. He leveled up across the board. That, to me, is what MIP is all about.

@Brady_Fred I get what you’re saying, but also I think maybe he was just underestimated of where he was at the end of last year & in playoffs and him being paid was just a lack of certainty about where it would go from there or could it regress.
