Not sure where the money comes from other than the tax payer. Only after the influx of cash to social services can the police budget be reduced and reallocated.

@MaxPichor @Teddier @cMACKLIVE @DaltonLaba @wpgpolice Those are facts. There are routinely hundreds of calls for service in the queue. Same for the fire/ems service. The paramedics are routinely in degraded mode and don't have enough ambulances to attend high priority calls.

@The_DarkCanuck @cMACKLIVE @DaltonLaba @wpgpolice I understand, my point is, once they are committed to a DUI, they are off the streets for hours so now you have fewer cops on the street. So there are fewer cars to respond to other calls. The paperwork needs to be streamlined so they aren't held up for as long as they are.

@DigB @cMACKLIVE @DaltonLaba @wpgpolice I have to colleague who are ex cops I have a nephew who is a paramedic and I am also an observant citizen about ROI on our investments in policing and services. The police are victims of their own ask for authority

@cMACKLIVE I work directly with both of them and so does my partner, who is in social work. I can see your point, however, untill you work a month in their shoes and you might have your eyes opened I will say it one last time. Talk to your city and provincial representatives.

@cMACKLIVE I have worked directly with many police officers in my career and I have to say by and large they are a very professional and well trained group. But I see I'm not going to convince you otherwise. For whatever reason you aren't willing to listen to someone with a diff. Opinion.
