How does one combat this? Are we going to see actual prosecutions or is it just more theater.

The NAACP are buddies with SPLC. Both of them stoke hatred relentlessly.

House Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries says that Ilhan Omar's disappearing net worth is a "right-wing conspiracy."
So Trump's $130,000 bookkeeping error is worth 34 felonies, but Ilan's $29 MILLION accounting error is a "conspiracy theory"?
Make it make sense.

I had an entire wilderness in PGH of these. It was amazing to see.
Amazon put a toll road thru it to reach the airport. Destroyed it all.

Ironically, the so-called “anti-hate” groups have an incredibly strong financial incentive to stoke hate, so they actually AMPLIFY hate!
The worst thing that could happen to them is actually ending hate, as they would cease to exist.

How long until we find out the “Global Project Against Hate and Extremism” funds hate and extremism?

Orcas have brain structures you don't have.
Neurobiologist Lori Marino's MRI work on killer whales identified a fourth cortical segment called the paralimbic lobe. It sits next to the limbic system and handles emotion and social awareness. It doesn't exist in humans or in any land mammal. In orcas, it's so elaborated it erupts into the cortex.
Their cortical limbic lobe, the region handling self-awareness and social processing, is exceptionally developed. Their brain weighs roughly 12 pounds, four times the mass of yours. They have spindle cells, the same neurons that let humans reason about other minds.
When an orca surfaces and locks eyes with you, it's running a social assessment with neural hardware specialized for exactly that. It knows you're a separate being. It knows you're watching it back. It's evaluating you.
Here's what should recontextualize the clip. In all of recorded history, wild orcas have killed zero humans. Zero documented fatalities. One surfer was bitten off California in 1972, and the orca released him the moment it realized he wasn't a sea lion. A 12-year-old was bumped in Alaska in 2005. The orca approached, touched him, turned back.
Orcas hunt great white sharks. They coordinate wave attacks that sweep seals off ice floes. They take down moose swimming between islands. They have every capability to kill you. They have never chosen to.
Marino's explanation: the orca neocortex is developed enough to instantly distinguish a human from prey. Other researchers point to orca culture, the traditions passed through pods across generations, in which humans simply aren't food.
That look is recognition and restraint. From a mind built for social cognition at a scale your brain can't reach.

Something about Orcas watching you is deeply unsettling.

Several things can be true at once: 1) You probably don't want soldiers placing bets on outcomes. 2) Politicians do wayyy worse. 3) This is what happens when you turn a country into a casino and an economic extraction zone. 4) It will be easier (and safer) to punish a white SOF Chad than any of the hundreds of Somali daycare pirates stealing billions. No judges or NGOs will be coming to his rescue.

Man. Doing some thinking today has made me realize how sick I've been my entire adulthood.
I developed a pill problem in the ARMY. My roommate who I really looked up to because he was older than me but LDS crunched up some oxicontin and asked me if I wanted to snort some. Up until then I had only been drinking heavily because that's what you do when you're 21 and living barracks life.
I was hooked. Then when he suggested taking an entire bottle of robotussin I tried that too. "Robotripping"
One of the worst experiences of my life.
I had a needed surgery at the end of my service and was given a ridiculous amount of pain killers and then a generous amount of tramadol every month. Even into civilian life. Tramadol. So much. Mixed with bottles of whiskey.
Well I got a job as a Deputy so I quit everything cold Turkey. I couldn't be a pill head. I dealt with the pain in my body to get a well paying job to support my wife. I was doing landscaping on Tramadol at the time.
I was pretty much sober for all of 2017. I had a rough 1st year in the Jail after the academy. I'm not complaining or looking for pity. It was very rough for me. Personally.
I first cracked at the end of 2018. 1 year into night shifts. My first child was born premature by a good amount. I was finally not mentally at work for the first time since I started the academy.
I was so lucky that in my first year and a half my wife took care of me like any man would dream. Lunches. Laundry. Love. Support. Quality time.
I still found myself not doing well mentally. And now I wasn't at work, I was a first time parent, I had post traumatic stress symptoms, and my wife needed ME to be there for HER.
I had my first anxiety attack then. I had to leave my wife and 2 day old newborn and I got a prescription for Xanax because I felt like I was dying of a heart attack or something. I HATED the Xanax. Hated the way out made me feel. I still took it all with alcohol later on.
I started drinking again really heavily. I focused on doing everything my wife needed and once that goal was accomplished in my off time I could stay up late and have ME time. Usually drinking and gaming.
This and worse is how I squandered my potential and a good Career.
