You want to know the importance of visibility? Let me tell you a story. Before now, I was a very anti-social person. I don’t snap, post, comment or drop my views on a topic. But I was active on Twitter especially. Around the beginning of last year, I had the opportunity to intern at @genesystechhub, and we were taught the importance of visibility in everything you do and the opportunities on the internet. I started my “days of coding” posts on X and LinkedIn, began posting on TikTok, then @genesystechhub retweeted one of my posts. Because of that, someone messaged me asking how Genesys works. I explained thoroughly and advised him. Impressed by the explanation, he asked for my account number, sent me 10k, and we connected on WhatsApp. He then noticed I’m also a CAC consultant apart from being a dev, so he sent me a limited liability company to register. Since then, he has referred over 5 of his friends’ companies to me for registration. That’s an opportunity I got purely from here. I’ve also gotten website gigs from TikTok last year and a gig to tutor someone on backend development from here in January this year. Don’t sleep on visibility. You’re not building just for yourself, you’re building as a service, bros. Put yourself out there. Don’t let low engagements deter you. Connect with like minds, drop comments on other people’s posts, retweet if you find something educative to help others grow while growing yourself. Don’t just view and skip. Don’t be just a viewer like I used to be. Hope this helps ✌️.
