Tanking happens in every sport. This year, it’s especially egregious given how loaded the draft is. This is not an every year issue, however.

The Lakers now sit at 44-25.
Minnesota is 43-27, Houston is 41-27 & Denver is 42-28.
The Lakers also have clinched the tiebreaker over all 3 of those teams… and they have 5 games left vs IND, BK, WSH, DAL & UTA.
They’re now a massive, massive favorite to be the 3 seed.

It’s a horrific scheduling spot of course, but Adam regurgitated real issues for the Nuggets. Game play aside, the Nuggets do not meet any of the historical ratings requirements to win a title.

This Is the game that swung me. I don't think this Nuggets team will become what I thought they'd be. Poor discipline, leadership, toughness.
All the potential to be special but something is off if you can't win against a team trying to lose when your season is on the line

Listening to the DNVR podcast a couple of days ago really made you realize how much BS the team had to go through with their schedule this year vs any other team to this point

Reporting facts: The Nuggets landed in Denver at 4:19am Memphis time last night. My head to pillow was 5:30am. Tonight will be Denver’s 16th game without rest - the most in the NBA. The Nuggets also have the best win percentage since start of last year without rest (22-9).

With all top 4 seeds being double digit favorites, I don't need to see Duke or Arizona be a 30 pt favorite in multiple games.
