I’m a parent. I have a lot of friends who are parents. I am certain Ellen Weaver doesn’t care about me. She’s furthering a dangerous agenda that will actively harm our schools and our kids, and many of her minions are sitting on school boards now espousing the same rhetoric.

More importantly, we need for the public to respect teachers as they do other professionals. You don’t tell your doctor that the x-ray must be wrong because Johnny NEVER does anything to break his arm.

@drewtimm The merit pay solution is suggested once again. Non-educators think it sounds amazing. Why has this great idea never been implemented? Time and time again, proponents realize implementation is not possible because a teacher’s influence can’t be measured with tangible data. 1/2
