US leaves NATO. The EU decends further into socialism, possibly full-blown communism. NATO/EU antagonizes Turkey and they leave NATO. Possibly Italy and some Eastern European countries also depart NATO/EU. NATO/EU are the new Warsaw Pact. Becomes more aggressive to Russia. EU antagonizes Russia by letting Ukrane into NATO. In the mean time, in a bid to strengthen the US position against China, Russia & US develop stronger trade & diplomatic relations. NATO attacks Russia. US winds up supporting Russia against the EU totalitarian regime.

After the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded in January 1986, killing its seven crew members, President Reagan appointed a commission to investigate. Richard Feynman, already battling cancer and reluctant to join, accepted because a former student asked. He quickly grew frustrated with the slow, formal hearings and NASA’s optimistic safety claims (1 in 100,000 chance of failure). Instead, he talked directly to engineers, who revealed far higher risks. The night before a key televised hearing, Feynman bought a C-clamp from a hardware store. During the session, he took a sample of the rubber O-ring material from the solid rocket boosters, clamped it, and dropped it into a glass of ice water (mimicking the cold launch temperature that day). After a moment, he removed it and showed how the rubber had lost its elasticity, it no longer sprang back. He explained simply: at low temperatures, the O-rings couldn’t seal properly, allowing hot gas to leak and cause the disaster. His live demonstration cut through layers of management denial and became one of the most iconic moments in engineering accountability. In his personal appendix to the report, he famously wrote: “For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for nature cannot be fooled.”

To be clear, this was a law that attempted to ban therapists from telling gender confused boys that they're actually boys, and girls that they're actually girls. It was literally a law prohibiting anyone in the therapy profession from verbally acknowledging biological reality to their clients. Easily one of the most psychotic pieces of legislation ever passed anywhere in the world at any time in history. The fact that Kentanji Jackson tried to uphold this law -- even as her fellow liberals broke ranks with her -- just proves again that she is the most unfit, unqualified, unhinged lunatic to ever hold a seat on the Supreme Court.
SCOTUS Wire@scotus_wire

🚨 In an 8-1 vote, the Supreme Court holds that Colorado’s ban on “conversion therapy,” as applied to petitioner's talk therapy, violates the First Amendment because it constitutes viewpoint discrimination

We have gigantic creatures in the sea which can sing for hours and have arteries so big you can crawl through them. (whales) We have birds that fly 50,000 miles every year. From the antarctic to the arctic and back again. (arctic tern) We have living creatures which never get old and never die naturally. (jellyfish) We have animals which you can force through a sieve, and they can reassemble themselves. (sponges) We have an ancient line of animals which once had 30 or more successful species, and has gone extinct down to just one single representative, and that representative has conquered the entire world (us). We have horrors that look just like rocks and if you step on them your whole world becomes agonizing pain. (toadfish) We have animals who hide inside other animals, and when you eat that animal, they enter your intestines and live there. (tapeworms) We have plants which live on other plants and never touch the ground. There's a fruit tree that grows around another tree, and eventually kills and replaces it. (strangler fig) We have gliding lizards, marsupials, snakes, frogs, and rodents. What the heck do you need fairies for?

REMOVE THUNE: The Senate just held another pro forma session to prevent Trump from making any recess appointments. Trump is the first president in history to have his own party block his recess appointments. Trump shows great restraint by not calling Thune out every day for his obstruction.

🚨 Do you understand what just happened to Anthropic.. someone on their team ran a production build of Claude Code.. the compiler generated a .map file.. which is literally a blueprint that reverses the entire codebase back to its original source.. and then they published it straight to npm for the whole world to download.. it's like locking every door in your house.. installing cameras.. hiring armed guards.. then accidentally uploading your floor plans to Google Maps.. this is the same company that told Congress AI is an existential threat.. the same company that spent $8 billion building "the most safety-focused lab on earth".. the same company the Pentagon blacklisted as a "supply chain risk" because they were supposedly TOO principled.. and they got exposed by a config file that any mid-level engineer would've caught in a code review..

Germany spent €3 billion building the most modern coal plant in Europe. It ran for six years. Then they packed 1,200 kilograms of explosives into the boiler houses and tried to blow it up. Tried. One of the two boiler houses refused to collapse. The demolition itself failed, which is almost too perfect as a metaphor for German energy policy. The Moorburg plant in Hamburg generated 1,654 MW. Enough to power the entire city. It was the most efficient coal plant in the country, operating closer to a gas plant than a traditional coal unit. Vattenfall shut it down in 2021 because Germany's coal exit law made it uneconomical to keep running. Now run the replacement math. On that same site, they're building a 100 MW green hydrogen electrolysis plant. Cost: €300 million, more than half funded by the federal government. They tore down 1,654 MW and are replacing it with 100 MW. That's a 94% capacity reduction on the same plot of land. The energy import numbers tell the rest of the story. Germany's household electricity prices are roughly double France's. Industrial electricity hit 14 cents per kWh, so far above international competitors that the government just launched a €4.5 billion subsidy program to artificially push it down to 5 cents. They are now spending billions to fix the price problem they created by destroying billions in functional generation capacity. Germany now imports nuclear electricity from France and coal electricity from Poland. The emissions didn't disappear. They moved across the border. China is commissioning roughly two new coal plants per week. Germany is detonating its newest one and calling it progress.
Lukas Ekwueme@ekwufinance

Little reminder: After Germany blew up their nuclear power plant cooling towers, last year they blew up one of their biggest coal power plants. Right in time for the biggest energy crisis in history to hit… The coal plant was: - Only 6 years old - Cost €3 billion - Produced 1,650 MW Germany is doing everything in its power to create a perpetual energy crisis.

Newsom is the first CA governor in history to oversee net population decline. It would actually be much worse but for illegal immigration. That's why they are so desperate to undermine Trump's efforts. They need illegals so they can avert a catastrophe in the next apportionment.

Big win for @micahstubbs! A year or so ago, CA started requiring those seeking a COE for purposes of gun collecting (and ammo purchases) submit their FFL-03, or they wouldn't process it. They had no authority to implement such a rule, total underground regulation. Micah challenged it with the OAL, and they agreed with him. So now if they demand your FFL-03 when getting a COE, you can throw this at them.

No, the facts about birthright citizenship are not racist: 1. The 14th Amendment's birthright citizenship provision was intended to make citizens for former slaves – not anchor babies of 21st century illegal alien invaders. 2. Although the 1898 Supreme Court case of US v. Wong Kim Ark improperly extended the 14th Amendment to include the child of Chinese immigrants, at least Wong Kim Ark's parents were in the country legally as permanent residents. You can't say that about anchor baby parents. 3. BTW, the 14th Amendment is unconstitutional in the first place as it was improperly ratified. Southern states weren't allowed to vote on it in Congress; they were forced to ratify it before they could be readmitted to the Union, which Lincoln said they had never left; and New Jersey rescinded its ratification well ahead of final ratification but was counted anyway. Amy Coney Barrett knows this. repository.law.upenn.edu/documents?sear… 4. If we had a properly functioning government: SCOTUS would trash the 14th Amendment in Trump v. Barbara, which will be argued Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Congress would then re-draft the 14th Amendment and have it properly ratified. Instead, we will likely get more disastrous SCOTUS overreach. washingtonpost.com/politics/2026/…
