Yesterday was our 31st wedding anniversary
That week the S&P500 hit an ATH at 500
Experience has taught me not to get all bothered by daily headlines
Think long term!
There sure are an awful lot of
“I have a friend” + “What would you tell him?” posts on here …
How many of you really have your friends coming to you for money advice?
5am. My turn. Went fufu and added vanilla and half and half. It’s going to be THAT kind of day.
Take care of yourself. Yes YOU. We got this. Have a beautiful day X friends.
Ohh muh gooodness.
Lunch was hitting with a fried shrimp po boy from Singleton’s Mini Mart in Uptown New Orleans.
20/10 for the price! highly recommend
There’s a strong chance that no… you shouldn’t buy that rental property
Just put in the market.
Buy the S&P index fund
Max out your Roth
Get your 401k match
Keep doing this for years
Lately it seems that everyone has a friend that:
- spends a lot 💸
- needs advice for investments 📉
- doesn't invest🙈
- has an expensive car/house 🏎
For the love of God, choose better friends 😂😂
There are only about 25,000 elevator technicians in the entire U.S.
Let that sink in.
Now think about how many elevators exist:
• Apartments
• Hospitals
• Hotels
• Office buildings
• Airports
Every single one needs maintenance… forever.
Now here’s where it gets interesting:
Elevator techs make $100k on average
Top earners clear $150k+
With overtime in big cities? Even higher.
And the “training pipeline” everyone talks about?
It’s not 4 years of college.
It’s:
• Apprenticeship programs
• Trade-based training
• Earn while you learn
So let me get this straight…
We’re telling 18 year olds to take on $100k+ in debt…
Instead of pointing them toward a career where they can make six figures fixing elevators?
Here’s the controversial part:
The shortage isn’t because the job is bad.
It’s because no one is telling kids this path exists.
We’ve marketed college.
We’ve ignored trades like this.
And now we have a massive gap.
In 10–15 years?
The people who chose these “invisible trades” are going to look like geniuses.
Fun fact: only one out of the three elevators worked during our trip and average wait time was 10-15 mins.
Gooood morning 𝕏 legends! ☀️
No coffee and sunshine today I’m packed with meetings this morning!
Has anyone purchased / planning to purchase something from the market?
Longtime users are frustrated with X because it no longer works the way it used to.
Back in the early days of Twitter, your reach was simple and direct. If you had 5,000 or 10,000,20,000 followers, your posts were delivered to them in real time. It was a true chronological feed—your tweets showed up in the order you posted them, and your audience actually saw your content.
The “old” Twitter (pre-2016) was built around that real-time experience. Your voice reached the people who chose to follow you, without interference.
Today, that’s no longer the case. X relies on an algorithm-driven, engagement-based feed, meaning even your own followers may never see your posts unless the system decides to prioritize them.
That shift—from a guaranteed audience to an unpredictable algorithm—is why so many longtime users feel frustrated and disconnected.
