🇮🇷🇺🇸🇬🇧 Iran just fired 2 intermediate-range ballistic missiles at Diego Garcia, the joint US-UK military base in the Indian Ocean. This is a warning, and here's why it's significant: This is the first time Iran has struck that far out, though both missiles were intercepted/failed mid-flight. It’s a direct signal: Iran can now threaten assets far beyond the Gulf. Bombers, subs, intel hubs in the Indian Ocean are no longer “safe.” And if they can reach Diego Garcia, Europe’s major cities are suddenly in theoretical range too. Source: WSJ

@RepNancyMace Isn't this backwards? Doesn't removing capital gains tax benefit the seller, not the buyer? And if a buyer is a first time home buyer, they are not also a seller, meaning it does not even out. It seems all this does is insulate of flippers, developers, and land lord's.

Darryl Collins, of Los Angeles, killed Fatima Johnson in her apartment in July 2021… LESS THAN A YEAR after he was released on parole for murdering two people in cold blood in 1995. Fatima was found by her daughters and best friend - bound with shoelaces and duct tape, gagged, and wrapped in a blanket. She had been strangled to death. She was a mother of six and a grandmother of eight. Why was Collins able to do this? Because he served only half of his sentence due to changes in California’s “youthful offender” parole laws. On September 17, 1995, Collins carjacked Derrick Reese, 28, who was using a payphone. After taking the vehicle, Collins backed up and shot Reese at least twice, killing him. Eleven days later, Collins attempted to rob a diner where Thomas Weiss, 44, was working as a cashier. Collins held Weiss at gunpoint and fatally shot him in the face. Collins should have been put away for life. But because of Gavin Newsom’s soft-on-crime policies, another life was taken - and six children were left without their mother.
