I have no idea whether Pankaj and Manpreet are Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims, Neo-Buddhists or Neo-Christians! It is fairly common for Neo-Christians and Neo-Muslims to keep dual names. The bottomline is: It was a murderous attack on a defenceless 80 year-old hindu pujari. It deserves to be condemned, no matter what the religion of the criminals!
