This mission: - Establishes the story's whole theme of "Balance" (foreshadowing The Black Suit & Peter's continued guilt over Aunt May's death) - Highlights Peter's financial struggles & relationship issues with MJ (prioritizing himself over Miles & foreshadowing Scream) - Showcases Harry's longtime friendship with Peter (foreshadowing Venom) It's not an epic action set-piece, but it's not supposed to be. Peter Parker is HALF of what makes Spider-Man - "Spider-Man." Granted, while I certainly don't want to be doing Peter's taxes as a gameplay sequence, not every mission can be the Sandman fight or the Venom mission. But, it's missions like these that make me thoroughly connect with the character on a personal level, as well as appreciate the bigger and more bombastic moments even more. At this point, I'm just convinced that Twitter plays these games with their eyes closed, or even worse, doesn't even understand what makes Spider-Man so special as a superhero in the first place.
