@abarone68 For real though, don’t say poker player. Just say you work in software, which is kind of true.

Took my daughter to her preschool interview. Lovely place, attentive staff, hoping she gets selected. Have a follow up interview in a few weeks. If they ask, what should I list as my occupation?

Sharing some of my current thoughts about Bitcoin & more. I expected Q4 to be bullish for BTC, and so far it's been the opposite. Markets are tough, and being wrong is humbling but part of the game, just like poker. Everything is a learning experience. I have been digging into why. Recently, liquidity tightening has hit markets, but especially BTC, which IMO is the quickest & sharpest reactor to liquidity conditions right now. Obv we had the USG shutdown, which tightened things for over a month, but even now that “we’re back,” I'm not sure conditions have improved much. Although there are conflicting interpretations about this subject, it seems to me - based on the reading I've done and the market's reaction - “financial plumbing” and liquidity conditions still look tight. There are strong arguments that we're in a tight environment. For example, the latest FFTT letter by @LukeGromen had a great take on liquidity and plumbing. Here is a summary from Gemini: "Luke Gromen argues the US is in a “deflationary air pocket,” with financial conditions tightening because the Fed’s “stealth” liquidity tools (like SRF) aren’t offsetting the rising real capital costs of energy, AI, and government debt. Regulatory bottlenecks and “stigma” are clogging the plumbing, so the necessary “nuclear-level” liquidity injection (overt QE or YCC) won’t arrive until market dysfunction is undeniable, specifically after a significant MOVE spike. He expects worsening economic pain and asset price deflation to justify massive money printing, making him near-term bearish risk assets like Bitcoin and bullish Gold and USD." All that said, it seems inevitable to me that they flip the switch. The FED is being captured, and rates are being lowered. Midterms are in a year... but there could be more pain first. IMO the majority of the move already happened (BTC from 126--> 81). BTC reacts fastest to liquidity. Has it bottomed? Hard to say. Maybe not. Which means that buying spot in the low 80s or lower should age well, but timing short-term trades here isn’t easy. I’m watching for tells, like a MOVE spike, to gauge when the liquidity injections start and when to put on some lev. As bad as the last 6 weeks have been for BTC, I have to raise (from very low) the odds that the 4-year cycle might still be “a thing.” That said, I still think the chances are lower than recent PA implies for several reasons. If liquidity conditions shift, I believe there are big tailwinds lining up for BTC to turn around. Gold’s had a strong run, BTC/GOLD is dipping, and IMO the best version of the debasement trade is the 20-year BTC/GOLD trade. I've discussed this numerous times elsewhere (eg x.com/tsarrast/statu…), and especially in my BTC article (brianrast.com/single-post/20…). It’s a multi-year/decade trade; short-term correlation is low but non-zero. I still believe liquidity will flip back on, because the USG (and most others) have no choice given debt obligations, interest payments, and the total lack of political will for austerity. Narrative follows price far more than the other way around. For example: nothing has materially changed about Quantum in the last 6 weeks. But now that price is down 35% off ATHs, people act like it has. It hasn’t. It's an issue that has existential risks - and one I've been discussing off-and-on for a few years now x.com/tsarrast/statu… x.com/tsarrast/statu… - but one that I believe will be solved. But as I've written before: Nothing is a free lunch. You don't get the best public shot at a 20x+ over the next 15 years w/ BTC for free. There are risks. Speaking of which, I’ve never owned MSTR in my life. But last week the diluted mNAV dropped to 0.9, basically a 10 percent discount on Bitcoin. Without getting into details: I believe MSTR’s insolvency risk is quite low, so I shifted some BTC ETF into MSTR and became a first-time owner. I plan on selling this at a premium (target 1.2-1.5. I don't believe we see 2+ anymore). In the meantime, I also like other exposures, which I have increased this year. I bought GOOGL in the spring, for AI exposure through a MAG7 company, and despite rebalancing some, it is still my biggest stock holding. It was mispriced due to poorly thought out fears over search & anti-trust. Even after this crazy repricing upwards, its P/E is in-line with but still on the lower end for MAG7 companies. Robotics and energy both look EXCELENTE long term. I think in 20 years there will be more robots than humans - a massive area of growth with maybe the biggest industrial TAM on Earth. And if you're following tech & AI, it's obvious that there is a massive race to boost energy capacity. China's ahead, but the US is moving now. Robo Stonks: in order of holdings TSLA, YASKY, TER, FANUY, ATS, ROK, TKR TSLA is bigger than YASKY by over 3x (also not a pure robotics play) -- would love to hear any interesting ideas in these sectors: robotics, energy, AI -- I also fired shells into two privates: Apptronik (robo) & Valar (nuclear). It's been obvious the world needs much more energy and that capacity is going to catapult and explode. The US just dropped this to reinforce the case if you had any doubts: whitehouse.gov/presidential-a…

I'm nervous announcing this, but I think I'm ready. In 2026, I'm going to be focusing more on tournaments. I'm working with a great poker training platform, coach, and mentor, and I have been upping my game (at least concerning online small buy-in events) steadily. I'm determined to turn my little Hendon Mob score into a 5-figure amount in 2026, among other goals I'm not ready to publicly share. I think the future looks super bright. Buckle up and let's go.

@DavidKayePoker You don't owe the viewers anything DK. If you just missing interacting with the viewers, maybe throw in the odd low stakes 2NL / 5NL where you can just play for fun and play like a whale. You're missed, but you gotta do what's best for your BR. Good luck on the grind. (sebcoe)

When the stakes are high, there’s no room for fear. 👑👑 All-in with pocket kings in the $5,250 — the kind of moment that can make or break an entire run. Important spot.🔥 #PokerLife #HighStakes #AllIn

@SvenCalls I feel like someone from another coaching site called out @JonathanLittle last year too then he proceeded to dunk on him by shipping 3 PGT events. He also just won an online WSOP bracelet and finished runner up in two more, both six figure scores. Seems to be doing ok 👍

''I've won $10m playing poker'' Such deceitful nonsense from a guy who has seen zero profit in the last decade. Advertise the great coaches on your site, sure. Enough with showing your cashes and implying that it means something, just preying on beginners with your BS.

I’ve won over $10 million playing poker. The real secret behind that success? It’s the same one hedge funds use to train billion-dollar hedge traders. Here are 5 poker concepts that will make you a better trader and investor: 🧵

Woke up this morning and for the first time in over a week, I was not in the @WSOP Main Event. Still in the “glad I cashed, sad I busted” phase but with each passing moment I feel more and more grateful for the opportunity to have played, made a deep run, and represented @888poker / @UpswingPoker. Furthermore, I hope I was better able to represent myself. Said it before but on stream I sometimes feel like the worst version of myself as my sole focus is on high equity decisions (and dealing with the subsequent fallout). For whatever reason, playing live hits differently. While gameplay still takes up most of my mental energy, somehow there’s room to enjoy the social experience which is what drew me to poker in the first place. That means even when I wasn’t raking in pots at the table, I had so much fun. Routinely found myself in amusing and interesting conversations with my tablemates, regardless of whether they were played for a living or for a love of the game. Laughed a lot. Made new friends. And came away from this experience with more respect for anyone who plays live poker seriously, let alone those who try to do it professionally. Lastly, I want thank everyone for their support. Far too many to name individually. Couldn’t go ten minutes without someone messaging me on socials/thru text to wish good luck, or letting me know they were following my journey. Some were new people I’d never met or spoken to, others were old friends I hadn’t connected with in years. I know it sounds crazy because I was playing for $10 Million, but that outpouring of support might legitimately be my favorite part of this deep run. Could write more but this post is already far too long so I’ll wrap up by thanking everyone again who reached out, wishing good luck to those still in the Main or on the grind elsewhere, and hope to see you all at @WSOP 2026.

I like you as a person, but all-in pre-flop is for those who rely too heavily on luck. There is usually a point in the game where a player gets a negative emotion and sabotages themselves making reckless moves. You brought your headphones for this reason. To regain your tranquility, because you know how often patient players win.

At the airport and soon to be off to Vegas! Just before I left, I told my wife about the inherent variance of MTTs and how I couldn’t promise to come home with a bracelet from the @WSOP. Her: That’s understandable, but how about some earrings? Or maybe a necklace.

@wouterbeumers @stefanvlokh Interesting 10% turn lead. Out of curiosity, what hand are you trying to rep with this line? AT, T9? Do you think that play gets a J to fold given the SPR?
