The not-Chicago Bears? Today the Bears released a statement saying how excited they were for their “vision” of a taxpayer-funded stadium in Hammond, INDIANA. Umm…nope. If you can’t afford to keep the team in Chicago, sell it. Period.

Statement from the family of Alex Pretti, Michael and Susan Pretti:
“We are heartbroken but also very angry.
Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital. Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Unfortunately he will not be with us to see his impact. I do not throw around the hero term lightly. However his last thought and act was to protect a woman.
The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting. Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trump’s murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He has his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down all while being pepper sprayed.
Please get the truth out about our son. He was a good man. Thank you”

It's sad - but I guess true - that a Republican saying that a President shouldn't imprison a Federal Reserve Chairman for a policy difference is "remarkable".
How unbelievably low the modern Republican Party has sunk.

Hard to overstate what a remarkable statement this is from a Republican senator — even a retiring one — accusing thte Trump White House of weaponizing DOJ to control the Fed: "It is now the independence and credibility of the Department of Justice that are in question."

I’ve been thinking a lot about Murkowski’s vote. It contains, in one action, so much that defines our pathetic political moment:
Selfishness: I’m taking care of me and mine, the rest of you can pound sand;
Lack of accountability: I know the bill is bad, hopefully someone else will fix it;
Cowardice: I’m scared of Trump and his voters and need to go-along to get along with my GOP colleagues;
Moral rot: I know the difference between right and wrong, and actively chose wrong.
