There are a few special offensive lineman that I have watched in my life that somehow find themselves facing the QB with their backs turned to the defense quite often. Daniel Faalele is one of those players. You typically want to be facing the defense with your back to the QB fyi

Is anybody else interested in a free private jet flight for 6 people to Augusta to go to the The 2026 Masters this weekend?
I'm still looking for 3-4 more people to join us. We can leave tomorrow, April 8 and will fly to Augusta where we'll stay through the final round and then fly home.

So the Giants either take the best offer or pay him. The public trade request essentially eliminates what I'm sure was their preferred plan of riding out a below-market deal

In texting with multiple league sources since Dexter Lawrence’s trade request was made public, expect the calls to only increase regarding the availability of the 28-year-old. Teams were already interested in dealing for the Giants' DT prior to last season’s trade deadline.

ESPN sources: Giants All-Pro defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence has requested a trade and he will not be participating in the team’s off-season workout program that opens Tuesday.
Lawrence and the Giants have been through two off seasons attempting to negotiate a contract reflecting his value to the Giants over the last three years, but there has not been any progress, per sources.

Asked around the league and the general consensus appears to be that IF the Giants were willing to trade Dexter Lawrence the return would be in the range of late first-round pick to second-rounder.
