@FalconeJr I’m going to pass your suggestions on in our next HISA next gen advisory committee meeting. It’s an active group that meets monthly and there are some trainers and assistants involved. We’re happy to share new ideas. @keithasm7 @Tyler_Gaff @LSchultz626

HISA needs a few younger trainers/owners to give them some ideas that they can do to make this game better. Horse Racing is still so far behind the times. We need to make it much easier and more enjoyable. Why are we still filling out an owners license for every single state then also a partnership form and this form and that form? You have to write your address 3 times on 3 separate pages for what reason I have no idea. Then you get hit with the “oh we only accept checks.” Only accept checks? We are in 2025 checks are about to go extinct in the next 10 years like the T-Rex. Then your not in the state your owners are not going to fly to the race then you have to try to find somebody to go give them a check for $10,$25,$40 however much it cost or they want to scratch your horse. I know the states want their money. Let every owner/trainer have something filled out and filed once again on the HISA website with $500 or $1,000 deposit and then throughout the year when that owner runs at a different track and has to get their new license they take from the $500/$1,000 of that owner. If they need more you put more in but all the information and everyone’s finger prints are done so they just send it right over and each state gets their $20-$100 for that license. Another example why are we filling out claim slips still? There can’t be an app for both of these things? You log onto your HISA portal click on a claim tab then click on the track click on the race it’s hooked up to incompass so it tells you how much money you have at each track (allows you to submit the claim as long as you have the funds to cover it) then you click on the horse to claim. As a safety measure you click submit twice and have to type your last name in and there you go your claim slip is submitted. It emails you a confirmation just to be sure it went through. Racing office could obviously go in there and see who dropped then they conduct shakes like that. Why at every track once again it’s already digitally done so why if 4 people own 25% of a horse or if a horse is owned 50/50 between 2 people why can’t the purse just divide equally into everyone’s account? No that would make to much sense instead we do this. The managing owner has to take it out. All the owners that own a percentage have to once again fill out more paperwork and sign a paper get notarized that this person can take it out then put the check in their bank when they receive it in the mail and then cut a check out to the other partners and mail them their checks individually…… why do we make things so difficult when we have the technology and ideas to make it so much more easy going and enjoyable. Just some thoughts. There is so much more.
