The $300B isn't U.S. taxpayer money or a direct handout from Washington. Per the MOU text and Trump admin statements: It's a target for a reconstruction/economic development **plan** the U.S. will help develop **with regional partners** (Gulf states + private investors). Trump has said explicitly the U.S. is "not putting up 10 cents." It also unlocks Iran's own frozen assets + sanctions relief as part of ending the conflict. The exact mechanism gets finalized in the final deal within 60 days.

So they get 300 billion dollars, a harsher ayatollah, they get to keep their bombs, toll the straight and they lose all sanctions against them. After a war where not just American lives were lost but the lives of innocent people, of children. A war in which our government lied to us about every step. That’s not better than 1.7 billion of their own money getting returned without having to lose innocent civilians or us service members.
