Donovan hasn't been good defensively at 3rd.. not sure they can afford to stick with him there for much longer. Colt prob gets 100 more ABs in AAA, while playing 3rd mostly.

@hooph__hearted @TridentTrue Couldn't agree more. I actually originally put 5 errors down, then decided to check Baseball Reference to verify. Colt is very solid defensively. Playing 3rd now in Tacoma while JP rehabs at short. Prob want him to get 100 ABs there and get more reps at 3rd before his call up.

@MBallgame @TridentTrue He should have 5 errors but was the recipient of a friendly home scorecard. He’s been nothing short of a disaster and it’s not an easy fix like people suggest. It’s an incredibly difficult position to play and probably the third most important on the entire defense.

We all know that Colt Emerson will be making the Big League Club at some point, I'm truly dying to know when. The dynamic between JP at SS, Young at 2B, and Donovan at 3B will make it an interesting fit but you have to plug him in if you know he'll make an impact.

Colt Emerson is now the 13th highest paid SS in MLB based on AAV. Before he even sees a pitch in the big leagues.

@commons58600645 @Softykjr Same. He should definitely be playing SS. But I'll take him now at 3rd... will prob see him at SS as well though with JPs injury history. Colt looks to have the same path as Gunnar Henderson. 3rd now, SS inevitably.. also a pretty decent comp IMO.
