I'm intrigued to see what Jhonny Pereda brings to the table with the opportunities he's going to get while Cal is out. He and Garv will probably split reps. Tacoma numbers: .321/.414/.417 123 wRC+ 13% BB rate and 13% K rate In the few ABs Jhonny had when he was up with team a little bit ago, he actually looked competent at the plate and got himself a couple of hits. He's shown a good arm behind the plate, has a good pop time, solid receiving, and at least average blocking. Let Jhonny cook, I better see him getting just as much reps as Garv.

I liked the way Garver called this game. I’m assuming he was the reason the changeup usage was way up… whatever he did, it worked. He’s also been really solid again with challenges so far
