Say it louder! Say NO to frontloading! It's not effective. Also TELLING Ss what they are "about to learn" is no way to get students to do any of the intellectual work. People who suggest otherwise don't believe (certain) Ss CAN learn #FiguringOut #BestPractices #ResearchBased

Our Teacher Handbook is a resource that provides overviews of features of the #OpenSciEd units that support #3D #NGSS science instruction and may be new to many teachers. It is intended as a reference rather than a front-to-back read and can be found here openscied.org/resources/

3 down, 3 to go. They’re being super patient with me as I try out methods. Best so far- I have it pre-labeled and have them sit where I’ve placed them.
We have some work to do after looking at this and this will hopefully spur some good discussion about contributions and equity!
