@Gam3rJM Yeah there's way more problems then people think imo. Very high development costs being one of them. Thing is, they tried to appeal to younger audiences. They had a couple of live service games but that didn't work. There's a lot to consider. But again, we'll see how this goes.

@MawkAnthony Yeah I feel like the takeaway a lot of people are having from this is that SE hasn't done enough to stay consistent to appeal to younger audiences and while that's true, I think selling to this many 30+ year olds who have presumably stuck with the brand for decades is impressive

As a 42 year old, I'm proud to be part of the 62%. You're never too old to enjoy your hobbies. Also, instead of being a doomer about this, SE is still currently in their restructuring phase and this only makes me even more curious as to what that plan is. Good? Bad? We'll see. 🤷‍♂️

Capcom went through a similar phase after Resident Evil 6 and Street Fighter V. Thankfully, they made the right decisions. I've also noticed people try boggle down this situation to 1 or 2 issues when it's actually much more nuanced than that. Again, we'll see.
