@FirriApril It's always been a problem, though I think it has gotten better over the years. I doubt it will ever go away tho, the world is full of people of which some are not socially skilled, or they're teens who have not yet learned about consent, or different cultures..

At what point did people start getting so comfortable being weirdo gooners at strangers and their OCs? It's not funny or endearing. You are talking to real people and making them uncomfortable. We need to start banning and blocking people for behaviour like this again

@DevianDice @DanzaDragon @The_Lord_Scorch Say the hourly rate is 40€/h. A sketch takes an hour, then you charge 40€+other running costs (communication, taxes, tools) for the sketch. A finished drawing takes 4 hours, then that should be valued no less than 160€+other running costs.

@DevianDice @DanzaDragon @The_Lord_Scorch Yes thats why you should raise your hourly rate to the point where there is just the right amount of demand. Thats why there should not be any type of work you do that has lower value.

@DevianDice @DanzaDragon @The_Lord_Scorch You should aim to charge the same hour rate regardless of the type of image. Your time is not less valuable on bigger projects. The exceptions are when your time is even more valuable: rush orders, working on holidays, working at cons.

@DanzaDragon It's more of a move based on personal values. But there is also a thing worth considering that future isn't always exactly predictable, sometimes the more failsafe less profitable thing is better, but ultimately you can't know for certain.
