Dad joke of the day: A magician walks into a Spanish restaurant. He gets everyone’s attention and pulls a table cloth over him. He counts “uno, dos” and then vanished without a tres.

@3thanst @camhardy513 Getting rid of the fountain wouldn’t be great but I’m not convinced this should be held up over it. It’s not exactly a particularly nice of historically important fountain from the looks of it.

3CDC been after Piatt Park for years. How many parks do we plan on giving a non profit control over in our city?

@NotedCommunitee @camhardy513 They want to get rid of the fountains in the park for “activation kiosks”. It’s a gross attempt at commercializing the oldest park in the city.

@camhardy513 Does 3CDC own the park or are they just contracted to provide maintenance and programming?

This was advertisement sent & paid for by the railroad to Cincinnati voters. City gets $1.6 billion. These were all the promises made if you VOTE to sale railroad. Do you trust those who supported YES on 22 now? Why are those who supported defensive when we post their promises?

@denniscamp Why can nobody show real proof of the railroad sale being a bad thing.?All reporting indicates the money is going exactly where it is earmarked to go.

The sale of Southern railway was the worst decision in the history of Cincinnati Ohio. The mayor and other members of city council tried to push it through without a public vote. Corruption by the trusties and mayor facilitated the sale. There was only one public input meeting and that was after early voting had started. The information from Mr. Nippert showed the stupidity of the sale and then no more public hearings. Local media just reported what city hall told them to say. The reality is the City of Cincinnati should still own the railway and be getting 60+ million a year in rent from NS Group. They are paying 90 million a year to service the loan. The people of Cincinnati were swindled out our valued asset.

Last year, Xavier couldn’t come close to matching Miami’s offer for Tru Washington. Today, they beat out Louisville, UCLA, St. John’s, Arizona State, and Virginia to land him.
Rick Broering@RickBroering

Xavier just landed a commitment from Miami transfer Tru Washington. Washington is a 6-foot-4 wing known for his defensive ability. He averaged 11.9 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.8 spg, and 1.4 to in 27.5 mpg last season while starting 19 of 31 games. 247sports.com/college/xavier…

@voteSmitherman This is just complete nonsense. The financial returns are better than the railroad lease payments.

Cincinnati sold our railroad that paid for infrastructure. The lease payments kept up w/inflation. The investments will mostly not keep up w/construction inflation. Cincinnati voters trusted Mayor and by a narrow margin passed the sale of railroad. Elections have consequences.

Neymar is under contract with Santos through the end of the year. Cincy believes they are a destination for global names and USMNT stars alike and has explored potential deals in the past. Will continue in the future, just as they are with Neymar.
Tom Bogert@tombogert

🇧🇷 Sources: FC Cincinnati engage Neymar's camp on preliminary talks. Very preliminary. Still internal discussions at club about whether to push for the global superstar... but Cincy is gauging Neymar's interest/requirements. w/ @PaulTenorio nytimes.com/athletic/71842…

@Stompy_1 @tombogert Cincinnati does not associate with Ohio. It’s its own thing. It’s legit hard to find an Ohio flag in this city.
