Yeah I'm going to have to figure out how to get t8s sidestep into t7.

People who complain about #tekken8 forgot T7 has - Worse Netcode - Sluggish movements - high dmg, 2~3 touches can end a round - strong stance mix up HEAT let less skilled player a chance to fight back, Veterans can use HEAT to win faster too. T8 is way better then T7

@overflowyouknow That second complaint is cuz old chars rarely had good juggle tools
Now so many chars got 1 hit juggle filler, or 2 hit and whatnot
Tk4 kaz had crumple loops which was sick, i doubt theyd bring that back tho
Tho ground combos would be like SF links so itd prolly be hard to do

It'd be cool if Steve's combos were all on the ground and other characters were airborne juggles for example. If they could gain similar reward that is. Old shorter Tekken juggles were kind of ugly because alot of them involved repeated jab fillers. If they could bring back that length but improve the look that'd be sick.

Not sure if tekken needs an RPS per se

@PhiDXGames Hard part bout throws is that people HATE being grabbed
Weirdly theyre kinda comparable to slow lows, yes the grab is frame 12 but 20 frames sorta makes em slower than snake edges without the tracking, evasion and usually not launching
Not sure what to do with them

@O2HELLRAISER Yeah crouch chain grabs would just be variants of either a 1 or 2 break
Having extra setups would be nice if that were the case, would just make his char a lil diff than before if anything, but still makes him unique

Here's what I left in that dcord to make King a grappler with weaknesses again. Pages are in numerical order. Last 2 pages are in the replies.
Idk who reads these but hopefully they implement these changes. Been asking for these changes for 2 years. If nothing happens NOW then..

@Jesandy1572 Hm, i see a couple ways to do this:
1. Keeo crouch throws unbreakable, but reduce dmg if comboed into, crouch chain grab starters are breakable (maybe too obtuse)
2. Make all crouch throws breakable, but a couple extra set ups, dont scale in links if they dont already

@O2HELLRAISER Jaguar Step 2 and FF2 put them in those positions, which is one more than he used to have.
It'd be nice to have chain throw starters again from crouch throws but that'd seem pretty OP.

@overflowyouknow I dont know how it works but they really, really should have a bunch of channels for each char, i dont know how big the team is but having some skim through each char might be easier
But the idea of community feedback will always be difficult

...even AI seems to understand what the community wants more than bamco

I didnt know he did crouch cancel for tailspin, tho i knew he did for harder combos, it was really cool
Giving a new move just for that is kinda wack cuz theres few shaheen players, theyre prolly dedicated enough to do it

@O2HELLRAISER @SesujinIsLost You dont have to cc to land his tailspin anymore; its just another move in his stance as SNK df2
They gave other random buffs that make him easier and better to play. Wr2 is better, his charge move too, he can wavu from stance now
D4 used to make punishes whiff at max distance

Patch notes are a lil small on my phone, i know djin can do CD3+4 now for Rise 3 which is simpler but thats still an unbufferable DP input, so i dont know

Tekken 8 Patch 3.0 is not "a small step in the right direction" but "many steps in vastly different directions"
Some characters were nerfed in solid ways that make a lot of sense (Anna CH > elbow, Nina b222, Steve armor, Yoshi 1,1)
Other characters got slaps on the wrist, or were ONLY buffed.
Weaknesses were intentionally removed. This contradicts the statement of focusing on strengths, weakness, and identity.
The only consistent thing was a focus on making things "easier." Unique tech and conversions were removed, offense was streamlined, and a lot of execution checks were completely removed.
According to this patch, situational awareness is not something that should be heavily rewarded, and cool things keep getting removed or simplified.
Generally the vibes seem down, and I'm personally pretty confused by the direction of the game.

In S2 n 3 i think literally everyone elses new moves are recycled
Whether it be their own movelist, tk7 or tag 2...i wonder if its really that hard to add actual new anims

@overflowyouknow Its just his air 2+4, so they launch doesnt seem very good but actually good king players should be able to do some nonsense with it
