I’ve had 22 speeding tickets , 2 street racing ones , and the rest were speeding. One of them was triple the speed limit. Guess what , I didn’t fight it on the side of the road. I have 0 tickets

@wife_michael79 @end3of6days9 It’s actually not false, financial situations change, and especially with things getting more expensive because of current events and inflation it makes it that much harder to have one stay at home parent to teach them. You may be better off but that doesn’t mean everyone else is

The cop must have reasonable articulable suspicion that you committed a crime to ask for id, if they fail to do so and make up excuses then you don’t have to show it

There are just two types of people in this country. I believe I already know the answer for yall in this thread, but answer this question for me... If the police get a bullshit call about you allegedly breaking some law or local ordinance, the police show up and you have a consentual conversation because you've done nothing wrong (I know many would not talk to them at all, smart, but for the purpose of the question) and they say they are about to cut you loose when they ask for your id, but on principle you refuse to give it up. Then they start threatening to arrest you for failure to id if you dont. You calmly explain that you arent suspected of committing a crime because there is no proof of any crime and they already told you they just need your id (or name, address and DOB) for the report. You continue refusing, never giving it upwhile invoking your fourth amendment constitutional right... In this hypothetical situation, should you and could you LEGALLY be arrested for failing to provide ID? Yes or No?
